Sreesanth said in court, when the verdict on Azhar can be changed, why not me?

Restricted cricket player S Sreesanth told the Supreme Court on Friday (December 7th) that the lifelong ban imposed on him by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for spot-fixing is very harsh. He says that he has a proposal to play in English county. Sreesanth says that till now he has been facing a ban for four years. However, in the sensational spot fixing case of 2013, he has acquitted a Delhi court in 2015.

Sreesanth said that when the cricket match facing the life ban due to joining the 2000 match fixing affair, it can be changed in the case of Mohammed Azharuddin, who is politically motivated, then why the ban on him can not be over?
The Andhra Pradesh High Court on November 8, 2012 in its verdict declared illegal life ban on Azharuddin as illegal and said that it will not be able to survive in the law.

A bench of Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice Ajay Rastogi observed that the pending appeal in the Delhi High Court against the judgment of the lower court is listed for hearing in the second week of January.

The bench, while adjourning the hearing on Sreesanth's petition, said, "We will hear the matter in the third week of January."

On behalf of Sreesanth, senior advocate Salman Khurshid said that this player has now become 35 years old and if the ban is not abolished then he will not be able to play club cricket in Britain. He said that at the age of 35, the player's international cricket is almost over, and at least he should be allowed to play club cricket.

Senior advocate Parag Tripathi said on behalf of the BCCI that there was very convincing evidence against Sreesanth, due to which the top body of cricket has banned him. He said that this institution has decided not to tolerate corruption in the game and due to this, the lifelong ban can not be lifted.
