New Delhi: Gold prices recovered by Rs 90 to Rs 34,590 per 10 grams in the national capital on Saturday on the back of demand from local jewelers and demand from local jewelers. The All India Sarafa Association informed about this. Silver also gained Rs 140 to Rs 41,500 per kg on increased demand from industrial units and coin makers. Earlier on Friday, the gold had dropped by Rs 330 and silver was down 300 rupees.

The bullion traders said that the rise in overseas markets and local marriage demand has improved sharply in gold prices. In the local market, gold of 99.9 per cent and 99.5 per cent purity rose by Rs 90-90 to Rs 34,590 and Rs 34,440 per 10 gram respectively. However, the 8 grams of Gini stayed at Rs 26,600 per unit.
Silver coins also showed sharpness
Silver coins gained Rs 140 to Rs 41,500 per kg On weekly-based delivery, silver gained Rs 110 to Rs 40,268 per kg. Silver coins also saw sharpness. Coin liquefied and selling were up by one thousand rupees to Rs. 83,000 for buying and selling of 84 thousand rupees per hundred.
Globally gold in New York reached $ 1,328.90 per ounce Silver is at $ 16 a troy ounce. Gold futures were also higher at $ 1,330.65 while silver futures were quoted at $ 15.88 per troy ounce.
