Karachi: Pakistani officials have suspended the registration of the school after a series of cultural programs during Karachi's Karachi saw some students dancing on an Indian song and hoisting the national flag of India. Officials say that this incident has hurt the "national dignity". The school owner was issued a show-cause notice on Wednesday and said that he will be present before the private inspection and registration directorate Sindh (DIPPIS). According to the news of The News International, the incident came to light last week when a video of the program became viral on social media.
People are criticizing this incident a lot. According to the news, the registration of 'Mama Baby Care Cambridge School' has been suspended for the promotion of Indian culture. DIURPIS has formed a three-member committee to examine the disputed program of the school. In the disputed program, the students were dancing on an Indian song and hoisting the national flag of India in the rear portion.
According to Rafia Javed, registrar of DIPISIS, "Promoting Indian culture in educational institutions is against Pakistan's national dignity, which will not be tolerated at any cost. "The action was taken after the Directorate came to know that the school organized such program" deliberately ".
The owner of the school has been told to clear his stand on the matter within three days of receiving the notice, otherwise the registration of the school will be canceled. However, on this matter, the school owner neither responded to the directorate nor appeared before the authorities, due to which the registration of the school was suspended.
Javed said that this is a very sensitive matter which can cause public anger. School Vice-Principal Fatima said that last week the school management organized a program for the students so that they could be made aware of the cultures of different countries.
Fatima said that in this program, the students made representations on the cultures of Saudi Arabia, America, Egypt, Pakistan, India and other countries. But some journalists broke up the matter and mentioned a special part of the program so that schools can be targeted.
