#Me Too Campaign is for the victims, it should not be abused: Bombay High Court

Justice S. J. Kathwala made this comment during the hearing of a petition filed by the director Vikas Bahal.

Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Friday said that the #mu to campaign is only for the victims and no one should abuse it. Justice S. J. Kathwala made this comment during the hearing of a petition filed by the director Vikas Bahal.

Behal, the director of the film 'Queen' starring Kangna Ranaut, gives the court another statement on the media or social media about alleged sexual harassment against him, interim instructions to stop his former partners director Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwani and producer Madhu Mantena. He has also requested to be given.

A woman employee has alleged that she had sexually assaulted her in 2015 in Bahl. Bahal has also filed a case of defamation of Rs 10 crore against Kashyap and Motwani.

The Bombay High Court had said during the hearing on Wednesday that the woman should be made a defendant in the matter. Senior advocate Navroj Servavai appeared on behalf of the woman on Friday and told the court that she (woman) is not willing to be part of the lawsuit.

Sarevai said, "He is not willing to pursue the case. He does not want to get into this quarrel. "Justice Kathwala said that when the woman is not willing to pursue the matter then no one should talk about it.

The court said, "We do not want anyone to use women for their own benefit." The High Court said that although the #Meu campaign is commendable, no one should abuse it.

Justice Kathwala said, 'This campaign should not be misused. It is for the victims, not for anyone else. This is the reason that guidelines need to be made on this issue.

The court also instructed the woman to hand over a signed statement on October 23, which says she does not want to increase the case further. Phantom Films was founded in 2011 by Kashyap, Motwani, Bahl and producer Madhu Mantena. Films made by the company include 'Lootera', 'Hansi To Fansi' and 'Queen'.

Immediately after the name of Bahal, a former employee of Phantom Films between Me-To campaign, Kashyap and Motwani decided to dissolve this production house. An unknown woman employee had alleged that Bahal had sexually assaulted her in Goa during the promotional tour of "Bombay Velvet" in 2015.
